Facebook Now The Web’s Second-Most-Popular Video Site
Facebook users love video. So much so that the social network recently trumped Yahoo as the Internet’s second-most-popular video site in July, in terms of total unique viewers, according to new statistics released by comScore.
While Google (which owns YouTube) still remains king,Facebook is moving up:
Other interesting stats from comScore:
- 85.5 percent of the U.S. Internet audience viewed online video.
- The duration of the average online content video was 6.7 minutes, while the average online video ad was 0.4 minutes.
- Video ads accounted for 20.7 percent of all videos viewed and 1.6 percent of all minutes spent viewing video online.
